These five lines are a guide to help you read. They are not part of the Agreement: the full text below is what you accept.
Version 2026-10-11.1. Effective October 11, 2026.
This End User License Agreement (the “Agreement”) is a binding contract between you and General Java Programming Corp, a corporation doing business as 7:30 Dating™ (“the Company”, “we”, “us”). It governs your use of 730dating.com and the video speed-dating events run through it (the “Service”).
Please read this before you agree. It affects your legal rights. It includes a disclaimer of warranties (section 11), a limit on what we can be held liable for (section 12), your agreement to cover certain costs (section 13), and an agreement to resolve most disputes by individual arbitration rather than in court or as part of a class action (section 14), which you may opt out of within 30 days.
You accept this Agreement by ticking the boxes presented before you join an event or create one, and selecting the button to continue. Do not accept it on behalf of anyone else. If you do not agree, do not join or create an event; there is no other way to use the Service.
The same Agreement applies whether you attend an event as a guest or run one as a host. A host accepts it in both capacities: as a person using the Service, and as someone inviting others into an event they control.
This Agreement is the controlling agreement for your use of the Service. Our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy continue to apply and describe how we handle your information. Where this Agreement and the Terms of Use conflict, this Agreement governs.
References to the “Covered Parties” mean General Java Programming Corp and its parent and affiliated companies, and each of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, contractors, agents and licensors, together with the hosts who run events on the Service. Every disclaimer, limitation, release and indemnity in this Agreement runs to the benefit of each Covered Party, and each of them may enforce it directly.
By accepting this Agreement you represent and warrant that:
These representations are a condition of your right to use the Service, and you make them again each time you join an event. If any of them stops being true, you must stop using the Service.
We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with this Agreement. We reserve every right not expressly granted. You may not resell the Service, use it for any commercial purpose, copy or adapt it, reverse engineer it, scrape it, or use any automated means to access it.
The Company does not conduct criminal background checks, sex offender register searches, identity verification, or any other screening of the people who use the Service. We do not confirm that anyone is who they claim to be, that anything they tell you is true, or that they are safe to meet. The eligibility representations in section 3 are made by users to us; we do not verify them and we do not warrant them to you.
You are meeting strangers. Take the same precautions you would take meeting anyone from the internet: keep personal details to yourself until you choose otherwise, meet in a public place, tell someone where you are going, and arrange your own transport. If you feel unsafe, leave, and contact your local emergency services.
You use the Service, and meet anyone through it, entirely at your own risk. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks arising from your use of the Service and from any interaction with another user, whether that interaction happens through the Service, by email or message afterwards, or in person. Those risks include, without limitation, dishonesty, misrepresentation, harassment, theft, fraud, exposure to offensive or unlawful content or conduct, transmission of illness, emotional distress, physical injury and death.
Any decision to share your contact details, to correspond with another user, or to meet another user in person is yours alone, and is made outside the Service.
You agree that you will not:
Recording another person without their consent may be a criminal offense, and which law applies depends on where each of you is. North Carolina, where the Company is based, requires the consent of only one party to a conversation (N.C.G.S. § 15A-287), so North Carolina law on its own may not stop a participant recording a date they are part of. Many other states — Massachusetts, California, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Washington among them — require the consent of everyone recorded, and those laws may reach a recording made of a person inside them. Recording is prohibited by this Agreement in every case, whatever the law where you happen to be.
You are solely responsible for everything you submit or transmit through the Service, including your display name, description, email address, notes and messages, and everything your camera and microphone capture. You represent that you have the right to provide it and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or break any law.
You grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, transmit and display that content solely to operate the Service for you. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
Video and audio during a date travel directly between the two participants’ browsers. We do not record, store or monitor them, and we cannot produce a copy of what happened during a date.
The Covered Parties are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline, and do not act as an intermediary, agent, guarantor or chaperone between users. Events are hosted by people, and a host’s moderation of an event is their own judgment, exercised in real time, and is not a safety guarantee by anyone.
Release. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the Covered Parties from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, costs and liabilities of every kind, known or unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with your interactions with any other user or host, including any meeting between you and another user. If you are a resident of a jurisdiction whose law preserves claims a releasing party does not know of at the time of the release, you waive the benefit of that law to the extent you may lawfully do so.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, remove you from any event, and refuse you further access, at any time and for any reason, including a breach or suspected breach of this Agreement, with or without notice. A host may remove you from their event at any time. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 5, 6, 8, 9, and 11 through 16 survive any termination.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COVERED PARTIES DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WITHOUT LIMITING THAT, THE COVERED PARTIES DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE; THAT ANY EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE OR HAVE ANY PARTICULAR NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS; THAT ANY VIDEO CONNECTION WILL SUCCEED ON ANY GIVEN DEVICE OR NETWORK; THAT YOU WILL MATCH WITH ANYONE; OR THAT ANY USER IS WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE, IS OF GOOD CHARACTER, OR IS SAFE TO MEET.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COVERED PARTIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR REPUTATION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SERVICE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, AND EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE COVERED PARTIES FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100).
These limits apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose, and they reflect a reasonable allocation of risk for a service offered at no charge.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. That includes liability for gross negligence, recklessness or willful misconduct, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any right or remedy under the North Carolina Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act, N.C.G.S. § 75-1.1, which cannot be waived by agreement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Covered Parties from and against any claim, demand, proceeding, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising out of or relating to: your use of the Service; your breach of this Agreement; your violation of any law or of anyone’s rights; any content you provide; or any interaction between you and another user, including any meeting in person. We may assume the exclusive defense of any such matter at your expense, and you will cooperate with us in it. This section does not apply to the extent a claim arises from a Covered Party’s own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Read this section carefully. It affects how disputes between you and the Company are resolved, and it limits your right to bring a claim in court or to participate in a class action.
Before starting an arbitration or a lawsuit, you agree to tell us about the dispute in writing at legal@730dating.com, describing the problem and the resolution you want, and to give us 30 days to resolve it informally. Most disputes are settled this way, and this step costs nothing.
Except as set out in 14.4 and 14.5, you and the Company agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Service will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section. The arbitration will take place in the State of North Carolina, or by telephone or video conference, or in the county where you live, at your election. A single arbitrator will decide the dispute, and the arbitrator’s award may be entered as a judgment in any court with jurisdiction. Where the AAA rules require the Company to bear the cost of arbitration fees for consumer claims, we will do so.
You and the Company each agree to bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. An arbitrator may not consolidate the claims of more than one person and may not preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this paragraph is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim, and only that claim, will proceed in court.
You may opt out of 14.2 and 14.3 within 30 days of first accepting this Agreement by emailing legal@730dating.com with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” and the email address you used to join. Opting out costs nothing, will not affect your use of the Service, and leaves the rest of this Agreement in force.
This Agreement, and any dispute arising out of it or the Service, is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. For any matter not subject to arbitration, you and the Company submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of North Carolina, and waive any objection to venue there. If the law of your home jurisdiction gives you the right to bring proceedings there or entitles you to protections that cannot be varied by contract, this section does not take those away.
